Our Work

It's impossible to begin to showcase all the work we've done, so here are a few of our favorite, recent projects.

SIAPThe Science Inside Alcohol Project

The Science Inside Alcohol Project, a three year grant funded by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), is developing an interactive, Web-based science and health curriculum for middle school students and their families on how alcohol affects their bodies. AAAS websiteThe project, which is part of the highly regarded "The Science Inside" series from the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), helps provide children, teens, and adults with a science-based understanding of critical developmental and health issues. Stern Communications is deeply involved in media relations, stakeholder outreach, branding and product development for this project.

Sweet CharitySweet Charity

Aimee and a team from Potomac Communications Group developed a fundraising campaign called Sweet Charity to highlight the plight of AIDs orphans around the world. We created the event's name, branding, Web site, promotional materials and conducted all outreach activities in addition to managing the event with Swiss chocolate importer, Albert Uster Imports. Highlights included a chocolate fashion show, chocolate martinis and a wide array of chocolate creations donated by pastry chefs from leading DC restaurants. Sweet Charity is now an annual event held in multiple cities across the United States.

It's About TimeIt's About Time

We are working with jewelry designer Robin Francis to help market and promote her unique “green” fashion accessories. She transforms the inner workings of 20th century time pieces into one-of-a-kind cuff links for the 21st century man. Robin's fascination with time comes from her father Eli, who collected watches, clocks and other timepieces as a hobby. This collection is a tribute to her memories of sharing time with her father. It's About Time was the best selling Father's Day item in Saks Fifth Avenue's jewelry department nationwide in 2008.
